Equestrian Access Groups

MBBA is one of the most proactive Bridleway Associations in the UK, dedicated to creating and maintaining safe routes for riders, walkers and cyclists alike. 

We are affiliated with the British Horse Society and are an entirely voluntary association.  As a voluntary association, all money raised through Membership Subscriptions, events, and fundraising goes to improving and creating riding routes in Mendip. It is time for all riders to take on the responsibility of ensuring the future of off-road riding. The MBBA has funded over £75,000 worth of improvements to routes across Mendip in the last 8 years.

Mid Cheshire Bridleway Association (MCBA) was formed in 1991 and has worked with local authorities, landowners and other partners to lobby for rights of way improvements. The Association has researched lost routes to try to get these added to the Definitive Map. They also contribute to consultation documents, including rights of way improvement plans, highway improvements and comment on planning applications involving equestrian access.

Mid Sussex Area Bridleways Group is an independent voluntary organisation, which aims to protect and improve bridleways in the Mid Sussex area. MSABG is affiliated to the British Horse Society and the Open Spaces Society.

Moorlands Riding Group focus on bridleways in the Calderdale area of Yorkshire. They group work on research and submission of evidence, opening of ancient route, grant applications and funding for essential research work and materials / appeals / legal costs. Supporting local horse riding, cycling and walking by preserving rights of way.
