Equestrian Access Groups

SAFE (Safety and Facilities for Equestrians) is a non-profit that maintains local bridleways and is affiliated with the British Horse Society (BHS).

We are a group of local horse owners who have formed a BHS-affiliated group. Our group covers the area of Saltburn, Marske, Redcar, New Marske, Dunsdale, Wilton, Upleatham, and Skelton. We work together to raise funds to improve bridleways and campaign for better rider access.

The association highlights issues with bridleway blockages and problems to the Council, runs occasional events such as rides, quizzes, meals, and social events, and supports local riders in enabling equestrian access.

Sidlaw Paths Network supports path access for all users in the Sidlaw area, promoting paths and enabling maintenance where possible.
