Equestrian Access Groups

Ride Yorkshire was set up in 2010 after Janet Cochrane and John Yeomans (then the Chair of Visit York) met out riding in the North York Moors and hatched a plan to get more people enjoying the Yorkshire landscapes from horseback. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and we aim to get people enjoying the Yorkshire countryside on horseback.

Rochdale and Bury Bridleways Association (RBBA) has been in existence for over 30 years. RBBA have worked to keep open public rights of way available to equestrians in Bury and Rochdale.

We are a small group of local riders, drivers, and a few retired riders. We organise several social activities throughout the year, clear the local Bridleways, and do minor repairs to gates, etc. We also arrange group outings to equestrian events.

Our group is constantly working to get improvements made to the bridleway network in our area. We work closely with local authorities, and we do practical work such as bridleway clearances.
