Equestrian Access Groups

Epping Forest Riders Association was founded in 1962 by riders associated with Epping Forest. We liaise with the City of London (the owners) regarding conditions, safety, and their plans. We organise events such as showing shows, fun rides, and horseman’s Sunday. Etc. 

Our purpose is to plan and preserve off road routes for horse riders. We actively maintain bridleways and work to open routes that should be classified as bridleways on the definitive map. We closely liaise with the local council, other bridleway groups and the British Horse Society.

 A registered charity set up in 1979 to preserve and develop the Bridleway network in Essex.  Run entirely by volunteers, we work tirelessly campaigning and working with the authorities to improve, restore and create a safe riding environment for riders in Essex.

Forest of Dean Bridleway and Access Association overall role is to promote good off-road access for riders and carriage drivers in the Forest of Dean.
