Equestrian Access Groups

Peak Horsepower Bridleways Group works for improvements in equestrian access in the Peak District.

We are a volunteer organisation who promote safe riding and social interaction with other like-minded individuals. We ride, we walk and we enjoy sharing themed topics presented by guest speakers, over a cuppa and cake!

A group of like-minded individuals focused on maintaining current established bridleways and fighting to reinstate historical lost bridleways. As part of our endeavours, we also annually/biannually organise group rides in our local area to share the beautiful routes and scenery we have access to with others and raise funds for our cause.

The village of Reach has been granted 24 acres by the National Trust. A portion of this area has been designated as Woodland, while also featuring a cricket pitch and, more recently, a grassy area for riding. This riding area includes professionally built cross-country jumps, all contained within a fenced space. Access to the area is available through a membership group, which aims to create a social setting for the local equestrian community. Additionally, the group plans to organise pleasure rides around the area and host fun events.
