2 Hacking Out 2 Hacking Out

BHS volunteer committees carry out hundreds of events for the BHS. This huge amount of work helps to deliver our charitable objectives and brings us closer to achieving our mission and values.

Free training and support for volunteers on how to plan, organise and run an event is available. Current training dates can be found here or contact volunteer@bhs.org.uk to find out more.

Run a Raffle

Many of our BHS committees hold raffles at their events, these are a very successful fundraising tool when done well.

Sponsorship

Several of our committees have had sponsorship for their events locally and regionally, this can be a great way of reducing the impact of an event on committee finances, helping to pay for a big name speaker, providing prizes for competitions or getting additional fundraising.

Photographs

The BHS has a suite of images on a platform called MediaFiler that can be used to create marketing content.

Depending on your type of event, you might want to invite a professional photographer. If they supply you with any images, to ensure they are suitable for BHS promotion you may want to share this briefing document with them before they attend.
