Operation ‘Lose the Blinkers’ was back out today for the first time since lockdown - the action day was in Dunoon, which formed part of a road safety/crime prevention initiative with Argyll & West Dunbartonshire Police Division
14 drivers were stopped and educated on how to pass horses safely and 3 drivers were commended for passing the horses very safely.
This is a great initiative by Police Scotland Mounted Branch and Road Policing Unit, working in partnership with BHS Scotland.
This operation relies strongly on the horse incidents reported to the British Horse Society so please click the link to find out more about the new 'Horse i' app and download it if you haven't already.
Recording incidents really can make a difference!
