Ride Leader / Instructor for Forest Rides and Riding Lessons

Are you an experienced rider, qualified to at least BHS Stage 2, Care or Riding or both, looking for the next step in your career ? Would you like the opportunity to work in the beautiful surroundings of the New Forest?

We are a busy ABRS / BHS approved establishment, a combination of a tourism and teaching centre and we are looking for a responsible, but friendly outgoing person to work with us as part of our team taking clients on riding lessons and forest hacks. You should have excellent people skills and enjoy meeting clients, and be comfortable working with children, and the general public. Main duties include :

  • Taking out rides or assisting.
  • Basic Instruction on lessons and hacks.
  • All general yard duties.
  • Working in a safe manner at all times.

Having safeguarding and first aid qualifications would be an asset, although training can be arranged to cover these aspects. Previous teaching experience would also be an advantage, although not essential. This is a family run yard, so we are looking for a team player, who is also able to work under their own initiative. You should be happy with flexible working hours which includes weekend work. Salary and hours by arrangement according to experience. Accommodation can be arranged as part of the package if required. Please send a copy of your CV and qualifications.
