About the Forest of Dean
Thanks to the kind permission of Forestry England, the ride takes place in the ancient and beautiful Forest of Dean, nestled in the Wye Valley.
The forest has a rich and varied history: once a medieval royal hunting ground, later a vital source of timber for Tudor naval ships, and in 1938 designated the UK’s first National Forest Park. Today it remains a working forest, producing sustainable timber while offering miles of stunning riding.
How your support helps
All profits from this event support the BHS Ride Out UK Fund, which helps preserve, improve, and create off-road routes for equestrians across the UK. By taking part, you’re helping ensure safe riding spaces for horses and riders now and in the future.
