We are delighted to run the Combined Training & Combined Challenge to over the same weekend as the NAF Five Star Combined Championships!
This combined training consists of one dressage test and one course of show jumps. Both individuals and teams can qualify for this competition. For teams, two team members will take part in the Prelim/75 Section, riding a prelim dressage test and show jumping at 75cm. The other two members will take part in the Novice/85 Section riding a novice dressage test and show jumping an 85cm round. Elimination from one phase will result in elimination from the other.
There will also be individual sections where riders compete at Novice/75cm (novice level dressage test and 75cm show jumping) and Prelim/85cm (prelim level dressage test and 85cm show jumping).
Both teams and individuals will compete at the area qualifiers, highest placed individuals will be invited to the championships from each section. The winning team will be decided from the best three scores in both phases. For eligibility requirements and test options for each height, please visit the BRC Handbook.
The Combined challenge is a test of the ability and timing of a horse and rider to negotiate a show jumping course followed by an cross-county course on grass, in an arena. The classes will be as below:
70cm Mixed class (senior and/or juniors) teams & individuals
80cm Junior for teams & individuals
90cm Junior for teams & individuals
80cm Senior for teams & individuals
90cm Senior for teams & individuals
100cm mixed class (senior and/or juniors) for teams & individuals

Stabling will not be available through BRC at this event.There is on site stabling available to book through the venue as well as a list below of local yards with contact numbers - this list will be published when entries open. Please note, these stables will be on a first-come-first-served basis and price, bedding etc. may vary. This will need to be organised upon booking with them.
Hat tagging and Body Protectors
All members are required to have their hats tagged before competing in any BRC qualifier or championship. For acceptable specifications, check the Hat Standards Guidelines. Although not mandatory, Body Protectors may be worn.
