This event is the Championships for the BRC Howden Winter Dressage & BRC Dressage to Music classes.

The BRC Musical Showcase (formally ran as BRC Quadrille of the Year) is also held during this event.

Entry is via Sport:80 for all, in the unlikely event late entries can be accomadated a late fee will apply

BRC Dressage to Music Championships

This dressage competition is open to qualified teams and individuals, wildcards may be awarded if numbers allow.

Both seniors and juniors can compete in freestyle dressage to music classes from Prelim to Advanced Medium level. This is a great opportunity to be creative and have fun in the dressage arena.

BRC Musical Showcase

Opening date: 1 December 2026

Closing date: 1 April 2027 or earlier if full before then. Spaces are limited.

Formally the BRC Quadrille of the Year, this event is now open to teams of 2 to 4 riders

Decision to run date is 25 Feb 2027 – if there are not enough entries by this date the showcase will be cancelled and those already entered will be refunded. Get your entries in to avoid disappointment!

The Musical Showcase is a display that tells a story, set to music with rider’s wearing costumes. The display need not necessarily be based on pure dressage movements, and the widest latitude is allowed in designing the patterns.

Teams may be made up of two, three or four riders
Open to senior and juniors. The teams may be made up of any combination of rider ages
All riders must play an active part but one or two may show some movements not undertaken by the full team
This class does not require qualification, entry is via the Sport:80 platform only. Paperwork will be sent out closer to the competition date for performance summary, horse & rider details and music, to those who have made entries
All competitors must have a valid club membership and competition pass

Stabling and hook-up will be available to book from 12 January 2027 https://brc.bhs.org.uk/select

Please note stable/ hook- up bookings close on the entry closing date. If late stabling/ hook-up can be accommodated, a late fee will apply.

Hat Tagging

All our members are required to have their hats tagged before competing in any BRC qualifier or championship.

BRC TopSpec Arena Eventing Championships

The Arena Eventing Championships will consist of a course of showjumps immediately followed by a course of cross-country fences.

BRC Winter Show Jumping Championships

This show jumping competition is open to teams and individuals, with mixed and separate classes for junior and senior members. Classes range from 60cm - 100cm.

BRC Combined Championships

The Combined challenge is an excellent test of the ability and timing of a horse and rider to negotiate a show jumping course followed by a cross-county course on grass, in an arena.
