This year, hundreds of horses – and the people who love them – saddled up in July to protect over 78,000km* of off-road routes that could be lost forever.
If our off-road routes disappear, so do some of our best days in the saddle. Thank you to everyone who helped us protect them by taking part in Rideathon, raising funds and spreading the word.

Top 10 Bridleways in the UK
The 10 best bridleways in the country for 2024 have been announced for equestrians. This list celebrates the nation’s off-road access network and the benefits getting outdoors holds for us all. These 10 shortlisted bridleways come from over 600 high quality, BHS-authorized horse-riding routes chosen from across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland that have now been added to OS Maps app.
