From someone’s first tentative steps into the world of horses to the moment they become a professional rider, we’re by the side of so many equestrians as they learn, develop and grow their career.
Since becoming a BHS Fellow in 1984, Richard Davison has had a succession of great achievements. Aside from his own competition programme, Richard’s advice and coaching skills continue to be sought by some of the world’s most successful riders.
Richard said: “What the BHS has done is provide me with a structure of learning and getting more information on how horses think, eat, sleep and perform.”
Be inspired by Richard’s journey with horses and how he has used his BHS fellowship to develop the next generation of equestrians.

We couldn't continue our vital work without your donations and support. From every £1 that the BHS raises, 94p goes towards our charitable activities. From education to prevent cruelty to horses, to protecting hundreds of kilometres of off-road equestrian routes every year and everything in between, we’re dedicated to making the world a safer place for horses and those who love them.
