Q: I’ve just heard that the insurance of our BHS membership is changing. Is that correct?
A: We’ll be sending out details to everyone who has a BHS membership with us on 1 December about a change in insurance brokers, from SEIB to Howden Insurance Brokers.
Please be reassured that your BHS membership will remain the same, and the insurance part will move from SEIB to Howden from 1 January 2026 with all the same great benefits.
For any insurance queries, please continue to use SEIB in the usual way. We’ll be sending out further details during December about the move over to Howden. You’ll also receive clear updates in your renewal reminders.

Q: Why have we made the change?
A: We’re always looking to give you the best possible membership offer and experience with us, which includes making sure we’re offering you the most competitive price. To do this, we regularly evaluate the market and, following a recent review, are really pleased to have appointed Howden Insurance Brokers as our new insurance brokers. It’s an exciting step and one we look forward to sharing with you.
Q: When will this change come into effect?
A: We’ll be moving from SEIB to Howden Insurance Brokers from 1 January 2026. We’ll have a microsite available from 1 January, with all the details you’ll need.
Q: How can I find my new policy documents?
A: We’re working with Howden Insurance Brokers on a dedicated microsite which will be available from 1 January. You’ll have access to this and will be able to see all your policy documents in one place. If there are any changes to your current policy, we’ll let you know in the normal way.
