About Me

I am an experienced, all‑round equestrian teacher with a career built on empathy, understanding, and a light, good‑humoured approach. Over many years of working with horses and riders, I’ve developed a broad base of knowledge rather than specialising in a single discipline. This versatility allows me to support riders of all backgrounds — from keen amateurs to those pursuing professional equestrian pathways.

My early passion was horse trials, where I first began competing, but my teaching has always centred on helping riders build clear, confident communication with their horses. I believe the best partnerships are created through patience, clarity, and a genuine feel for the horse beneath you.

I’ve been actively involved with Pony Club and Riding Club for many years, and I have extensive experience preparing and assessing candidates for BHS qualifications. Whether I’m teaching a new rider or guiding a career student toward their next exam, my goal is always the same: to help horse and rider understand one another and enjoy the process of learning together.
