About me

I have a holistic (whole horse and rider) approach to teaching. I integrate groundwork sessions for building connection, EQ Bands sessions for postural correction and breathing training for relaxation and body awareness.

I help nervous riders or those struggling with confidence after a fall or accident.

I enjoy helping horse and rider/handler partnerships find true understanding, communication and connection by working towards a clear set of goals using tailored, logical exercises.

A Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship, I have been teaching since 2009. A Challenge Awards and Pony Stars Coach, as well as a Ride Safe Instructor.

I coach and assess for my local branch of The Pony Club. I also teach at local riding schools, BHS equestrian centres and provide freelance tuition to riders on their own horses.

I am an Accredited EQ Bands Coach (resistance bands for horse riders).

I have extensive experience working with children and adults with ASD and other specialist needs. I have a calm, logical approach to teaching and break down exercises into easy steps for children.

I have previously competed my horse locally in dressage, show jumping and one day eventing. I now practice natural horsemanship at home with my own horses, and ride for others who need help schooling or ground manners.

I am completely non judgmental and able to offer flat, jump or groundwork sessions.
