About Me

I have over 20 years’ coaching experience, complemented by extensive equine industry work in riding schools and both small and large equestrian centres worldwide. I have also worked within FE colleges and for apprenticeship training providers, giving me a strong background in structured education and rider development.

My competitive experience includes show jumping up to national championship level at 1.20m, grassroots British Eventing, and British Dressage up to Elementary level, including competing at the National Championships. I am currently training for my British Dressage judges’ listing exam.

I coach a wide range of riders, from complete beginners and riding school clients to recreational riders and competition riders competing at British Dressage grassroots level. I also have additional experience working with Retraining of Racehorses (ROR) from the track.

My coaching strengths lie in building strong foundations, developing correct rider position, instilling confidence, and teaching the early stages of jump position, progressing riders towards riding small jump courses safely and effectively. I provide structured, progressive lessons tailored to each rider, with a strong emphasis on safety, correctness, and long-term development.

I offer a professional and supportive client service, including clear goal setting, practical exercises, and a toolkit of skills for riders to continue practising between lessons. My coaching philosophy focuses on developing correct rider position, breaking training into achievable steps, and building towards long-term goals in a safe and sustainable way.

I am happy to travel up to a maximum distance of 30 miles.
