About me

I have ridden and worked with horses for many years, and my own experiences as both a rider and coach have shaped the way I work today. I’m passionate about helping riders develop their skills and understanding, while building a positive partnership with their horse.

I particularly enjoy working with anxious horses and riders, including those who have lost confidence or feel that they have become stuck. I believe good coaching is about more than simply telling a rider what to do; it’s about helping them understand what they are trying to achieve, why something is happening and how they can continue to progress independently. I aim to create a supportive environment where riders feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence at their own pace.

My coaching covers a wide range of areas including flatwork and dressage, polework, jumping, hacking, groundwork and BHS Stage training. I also offer schooling and exercising for owners who need an experienced pair of hands.

I hold the BHS Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship (BHSAI), UKCC Level 2 in Coaching Equestrian Riding and TAQA qualifications for Work Based Assessing, alongside First Aid, Safeguarding and DBS clearance. I am committed to continuing my own learning and development as both a rider and coach, and am currently working towards my BHS Stage 4 Complete Horsemanship.

Ultimately, my aim is to help riders become more confident, capable and knowledgeable, while developing a positive and understanding relationship with their horse.
