About me

I have 25 years’ coaching experience, including 20 years as a full-time instructor at a large BHS-approved riding centre, where I ran events and organised riding schedules. I have taught leisure riders, led hacks and coached clients on their own horses. I now work as a freelance coach and plan to complete further qualifications soon.

I coach children and adults, from beginners to grassroots competitors, at riding centres and privately. I enjoy schooling, flatwork, jumping and riding outside, helping horses and riders build confidence, skills and a calm, kind partnership. I take time to explain the what, why and how, listen carefully and support riders to become effective, technically secure and confident.

I support clients with advice, goal-focused plans, show or competition support when needed, and ridden work by request. My coaching develops balance, control, safe position and informed decision-making, with clear progression into jumping and riding outside. I encourage riders to practise, reflect and make adjustments as they develop.

My horse training ethos is patient, individual and progressive. I value good manners on the ground and when ridden, and adapt the pace of training to each horse and rider combination. I assess each partnership, suggest practical plans and agree the best route forward with the rider.

Pricing depends on distance, with discounts for group bookings and new clients. Prices start from £20 within a 30-mile travel radius. Please contact me for a quote.
