About me

I predominantly coach flatwork and polework but will coach low level jumping. I work very much on ensuring the rider is able to be as effective as possible through correct positioning to allow the horse to then improve. I don't believe in "quick fixes" and ensure the rider and horse are able to work together and improve together. I enjoy coaching those who wish to improve to go competing and also those who just want to enjoy riding their horse to the best of their ability but have no aspirations to compete.

My training is very horse centred ensuring the horse's welfare is priority at all times. I have been working in the equine industry for over 30 years having worked in riding schools, with RDA, hunting, competition yards, livery yards, etc. I have spent 11 years working for an apprenticeship training provider training equestrian apprentices for their level 2 & 3 qualifications involving riding and stable management.

I am a qualified Equine Touch Practitioner so have a thorough understanding of equine anatomy & physiology, potential problems, diseases, etc and understanding their behaviour. I have owned horses for 20 years and learnt a lot through helping with their various problems over the years.
