About me

As the founder of Ellie Morley’s Equestrian Services, I bring 18 years of varied equine industry experience and 13 years of professional coaching to my freelance business. My background includes working as a rider for a commercial horse dealer, grooming for top professionals—including Olympic showjumper Ben Maher—and competing successfully across the disciplines. My competitive highlights include eventing to Novice level, dressage to Medium, showjumping to Newcomers, and qualifying twice for the Badminton Grassroots Championships at 90cm and 100cm.

I am incredibly passionate about helping riders genuinely enjoy the time they spend with their horses. I coach a wide variety of clients, from complete beginners and Pony Club or Riding Club members, to established riders and those who are nervous and looking to safely rebuild their confidence. Alongside one-to-one coaching, I specialise in the sympathetic schooling and development of young horses, utilising correct groundwork and lunging to build a logical, strong foundation.

My coaching philosophy is centered entirely around patience, positivity, and building confidence. I believe in breaking larger ambitions down into manageable, step-by-step goals so that progress is steady and stress-free. Operating as a freelance coach, I travel directly to your home, yard, or a hired venue to provide a highly adaptable, encouraging environment tailored to the unique partnership between you and your horse.
