About Me

With over 14 years of coaching experience, I bring a broad and practical understanding of horses and riders from a variety of backgrounds. My equestrian experience includes work within riding schools, horse sales, and competition environments across all disciplines, giving me a well-rounded perspective on training and rider development.

I primarily coach grassroots riders through to competition level, with experience supporting combinations competing up to BE100, BS Newcomers, and BD Medium. I have a particular interest in working with sensitive, unsettled, or misunderstood horses, helping them progress through patience, understanding, and clear communication rather than pressure.

My coaching style is pragmatic, supportive, and tailored to the individual needs of both horse and rider. I believe that understanding the why behind an exercise is just as important as learning how to do it, and I take pride in finding different ways to explain concepts to help riders gain confidence and clarity.

One of the most rewarding aspects of coaching for me is seeing the long-term development of horse and rider partnerships. Whether it's overcoming a challenge, building confidence, or achieving a personal goal, I enjoy helping riders recognise and celebrate their progress along the way.

My rates start from £40 for 40-60 mins, and I'm willing to travel 20 miles or so with a charge of £1 per mile for fuel after from my location.
