Become an assessment centre

Although any BHS Approved Riding Centre can deliver BHS Stage 1 Care and Ride assessments in a devolved format, only BHS Approved Assessment Centres can hold BHS Assessments at Stage 2 or above.

Stage 1

Currently, any BHS Approved Riding Centre can deliver BHS Stage 1 Care and Ride assessments in a devolved format.

For information on how Stage 1 assessments can be delivered, please visit the BHS Approved Centres Cloud or contact the BHS Education team.

To support centres with delivering Stage 1 assessments, we will be pleased to supply contact details for local BHS Assessors if these are required.

Stage 2 and above

To hold BHS Assessments at Stage 2 or above, a BHS Approved Riding Centre will apply to become a BHS Approved Assessment Centre.
