How to book
How can we recognise pain-related behaviour in the ridden horse?
In this webinar, Sue Palmer introduces the Ridden Horse Pain Ethogram (RHpE) — a scientifically validated tool designed to identify pain-related behaviours during ridden work. Sue will explain how the ethogram was developed, the research that underpins it, and how the presence of eight or more behaviours, rather than individual signs, is indicative of musculoskeletal pain. Using case examples and video footage, attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how the RHpE can be applied responsibly in practice.
Who this webinar is for?
Horse owners, riders, instructors and coaches who want a clearer, evidence-informed understanding of pain-related behaviour in the ridden horse, and how to recognise when pain may be affecting comfort, performance and safety.
