Four Days of Learning, Riding & Summer Fun with Your Horse
Join us for an unforgettable summer camp in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, where great coaching, fantastic facilities and plenty of fun come together for the perfect equestrian getaway.
Whether you're a grassroots rider looking to build confidence, an experienced competitor aiming to sharpen your skills, or simply someone who loves spending time with their horse, this camp is designed for you.
Led by highly respected BHS APC Coaches Dr Jo Winfield FBHS and Caroline Meads BHSI, you'll enjoy expert tuition in a relaxed and supportive environment while making new friends and creating lasting memories.
What to Expect
Over four enjoyable days, you'll take part in a variety of ridden sessions tailored to your experience and goals, including:
- Flatwork
- Polework
- Show Jumping (optional)
- Cross Country (optional)
- Educational talks and demonstrations
- Fun competitions
- Unlimited off-road hacking through the surrounding forest and countryside
With small lesson groups, typically just 3–5 riders, you'll benefit from plenty of individual attention and personalised coaching.
Lessons take place across Forest Edge's excellent facilities, including the 77m x 35m indoor arena with Andrew Bowen Pro-Wax surface, a large covered outdoor arena, outdoor grass arena and cross-country training course.
Full Camp Package – £380
Your Full Camp experience includes:
- ✔ Stable for your horse for 3 nights
- ✔ Five coached ridden sessions
- ✔ Optional talks, lectures and demonstrations
- ✔ Optional fun competition
- ✔ Full catering throughout camp
- ✔ Welcome BBQ on Tuesday evening
- ✔ Direct access to miles of off-road forest hacking
You'll be well looked after throughout your stay with a cooked breakfast each morning, buffet lunch, cooked evening meal, tea, coffee and refreshments during breaks, plus the welcome BBQ on Tuesday evening.
Vegetarian options are available and dietary requirements can be catered for where possible.
Camp Schedule
Arrive between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesday 7 July to settle your horse, pitch your tent and explore the venue.
Many campers enjoy a relaxing hack before joining everyone for the welcome BBQ and social evening.
Camp finishes at 4pm on Friday 10 July.
Day Camp Option – £115
Can't stay for the whole camp? Join us for a day instead.
Your day includes:
- Morning lesson with an FBHS or BHSI coach
- Lunch
- Afternoon lesson with an FBHS or BHSI coach
- Day stable
- Access to off-road forest hacking
Perfect for riders who want to enjoy the coaching and atmosphere without staying overnight.
Unmounted Camper – £115
Bring a friend or family member along to enjoy the camp experience with you.
Includes:
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout camp
- Access to all talks and workshops
- Full use of venue facilities
- Participation in all social activities
Please note that accommodation is not included, and unmounted campers must accompany a full camper.
The Venue
Nestled in the heart of Norfolk's stunning Breckland countryside, Forest Edge Arena offers the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday with your horse.
The venue combines excellent equestrian facilities with a warm and friendly atmosphere, including:
- Direct access to forest trails
- Miles of safe off-road hacking
- Indoor toilets and showers
- On-site café and snug
- Spacious stabling
- Outstanding training facilities
Campers should bring a tent, horsebox or caravan for accommodation. Electric hook-ups are available directly through the venue, and on-site lodges can also be booked separately.
Before You Book
Horses
- Must be at least 4 years old
- Must be fit for the activities undertaken
- Must be up to date with equine influenza vaccinations
- Passports must be brought to camp
Riders
- Must be able to walk, trot and canter independently in a group
- Approved riding hats must be worn when mounted
- Suitable riding footwear is required
- Hi-viz is strongly recommended when hacking
Booking Information
An £80 deposit secures your place.
The remaining balance of £300 is due at least six weeks before camp.
Places are limited and camps regularly fill quickly, so early booking is recommended.

Enjoy three nights in the beautiful Breckland countryside at the peaceful Forest Edge Arena. Enjoy learning with your horse as our BHS Qualified coaches put you both through your paces in flatwork, polework, jumping and XC (jumping is optional), plus talks and demos to expand your equestrian knowledge. There will be plenty of opportunity to unwind with unlimited access to miles and miles of Off road hacking through the adjoining forest and surrounding countryside.
