Welcome Back to the British Horse Society Ireland Adult Camps at Castle Irvine Equestrian Centre (previously known as Necarne Equestrian Centre).
As you will know, if you have attended a British Horse Society Ireland Camp at Necarne before – this is a magical place to be. The old stone stable courtyard sets the scene and ambiance.
There are now four large arenas on offer – one of which is a beautiful walled garden and another a state of the art indoor riding school. All arena surfaces are excellent and have been recently renovated. Hacking is also still available in the beautiful estate and this is truly a treat in itself.
In 2022 we plan to have six camps available to British Horse Society members.
Camp 3:- 6 to 9 June 2022
Our accommodation options are as follows:-
As there is no onsite accommodation we have booked luxurious Air B & B accommodation with each person having his or her own room. All accommodation is within walking distance.
Bring your own horse box/lorry or caravan and make use of the hook ups available on site.
Be a day camper and organise your own accommodation and stabling.
Catering will be provided by Shelagh Laird and one meal will be eaten out in Irvinestown. (The meal in Irvinestown is not included in the price)
Stabling will be in the Loddon Box Stables; bedding and hay/haylage will be provided.
The programme for each camp will include two lessons per day on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Arrival day on the Thursday is by noon and lessons will start at 1pm and run into the evening. There will be a number of talks or demos. And, of course, hacking in the estate will also be available to warm up or cool down your horse.
These camps are suitable for recreational to competitive riders and lessons are arranged to suit you and your horse. So don’t be anxious - the camps are a very positive experience for all who attend!
All Covid precautions will be in place in line with the regulations at the time the camps take place - to ensure we are all as safe as possible.
So who is the coach? This will be Tim Downes FBHS, a Fellow of the British Horse Society and a proprietor of the renowned Ingestre Stables in Stafford.
