Smugglers Equestrian Centre

About us

Welcome to Smugglers Equestrian Centre

Smugglers Equestrian Centre is a friendly, inclusive and welcoming BHS Approved Riding School, Training and Assessment Centre in South Wales, where we believe horse riding should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

From a child's very first pony experience at age 2, to adults discovering riding for the first time, returning after years away or experienced riders looking to progress, there's a place for everyone at Smugglers.

Our fantastic team of qualified instructors and wonderful riding-school horses and ponies offer lessons for complete beginners through to advanced riders, with group lessons starting from just £23. Alongside regular lessons, there's always something happening, including hacking, Pony Club, competitions, clinics, camps, children's activities and BHS training opportunities.

Our facilities allow riders to enjoy their time in the saddle throughout the year. With indoor and outdoor arenas, cross-country and jumping facilities, a mechanical horse and comfortable viewing areas, there's plenty of opportunity to learn, progress and have fun.

And Smugglers isn't just for the person riding! Our warm, glass-fronted café and viewing area gives parents, friends and family somewhere comfortable to relax, enjoy a cuppa or something to eat and watch lessons whatever the Welsh weather is doing outside.

Most importantly, we're proud of the community we've created. Smugglers is somewhere you can learn, build confidence, make friends, achieve your goals and simply enjoy being around horses.

All ages. All abilities. One welcoming equestrian community.

Come and discover Smugglers for yourself.
