About Us

Founding members are Eve Stafford, Elsie McVeigh and Pearl and Alison Donnell and Mrs Eve Stafford was the club's first chair person. The club is a senior club for members aged 18 years+.

We hold regular training nights on Wednesday nights at Ecclesville Centre, Fintona mainly. Occasionally we use RDA, Omagh and in the summer months we sometimes go to Mandi King's arena, Castle Irvine Necarne and the Meadows Equestrian Centre as well as Ash Hollow Equestrian. We have a variety of lessons - flatwork, polework, gridwork, show jumping and working hunter, so there is something for everyone! We are fortunate to have excellent instructors that visit SVRC regularly.

We also organise regular shows which are open to members and non-member - annual dressage show, working hunter show (to include NI Festival Qualifiers), showjumping league, arena eventing, 2 phases and the annual easter charity pleasure ride at Baronscourt Estate by kind permission of the Duke of Abercorn. To celebrate 15 years the club organised a camp at Necarne with Di Lampard. Last year to celebrate 25 years, the club organised another camp at Castle Irvine Necarne with Penny Sangster, William Anderson and Ian McCluggage.

We are a friendly club with 30-50 members. Members have competed at the NIRC championships over the years enjoying much success in various disciplines.
