Strathmore and District Riding Club

About Us

We are affiliated to British Riding Clubs and are part of Area 22 riding clubs with a membership of approximately 150 members. We welcome all members over the age of 12 years old and are a welcoming, friendly and supportive club. We offer a full events calendar from February to November each year (the committee do take a well-deserved break in December and January), with flatwork and showjumping lessons along with Dressage and Showjumping competitions held each month.

We also hold open shows which include Working Hunter, Showjumping, Arena Eventing and Dressage throughout the year. We use various venues within the Angus area, with our main venues being Bractullo Equestrian, Forfar; Auchlishie Eventing, Kirriemuir and Bogside Equestrian, Forfar.

We offer both riding and non-riding membership, with social activities planned throughout the year, including Quiz nights, prize-giving’s and evening activities as part of our residential camps (these activities are open to all members, not just those attending camp).
