BHS Oxfordshire recently helped the East District Team of the Cotswold Voluntary Wardens with the purchase of a new piece of equipment.
Match funding with Oxfordshire County Council enabled the group to purchase a Stihl Kombi Engine pole pruner, which will allow them to clear foliage back at a much higher height than they could before.
The Wardens volunteer almost 50,000 hours of their time across the Cotswolds each year, and the East District Team work across the area of Oxfordshire which is part of the Cotswolds. They spend a significant proportion of their time on bridleways and byways, and the new pole pruner will enable them to do a much more effective job for horse riders as they can now clear branches back to a height that will make a real difference for riders.
