BHS Scotland welcomed Eric Smiley FBHS to their annual coaching weekend at Lindores Equestrian, Fife on the 19-21 September 2020, along with Diana Zajda, Mark Robinson and Richard Johnston-Smith. Twenty-eight riders (from all across Scotland) enjoyed lessons consisting of flatwork, polework, working hunter and XC. There were additional sessions with Maeve Sheridan Animal Physio Plus on Rider Position, the opportunity to have your horse weighed and nutrition advice from Dodson & Horrell and Eric Smiley FBHS was available to talk about his book ‘Two Brains; One Aim’ with a record number of copies of his book being sold during the weekend.
Unfortunately, we were unable to present our trophies in the usual manner due to Covid restrictions. So the winners were asked to take photos of their trophies with their horses at home
Best condition horse (of correct weight):
Hugo owned by Stephen MacGregor.
This was decided by Dodson & Horrell Scotland – big thanks to D&H and Hannah Routledge for supporting our annual event.
A special mention needs to go to Christine Stewart and her horse Jack - Jack has lost a record 100kg since getting weighed at our 2019 event
Most Favourite Horse that the coaches would like to take home:
Frances Pearson’s horse Hero.
Most improved horse and rider:
Laura Middleton and Dotty.
Well done everyone!
The venue at Lindores Equestrian contributed to the smooth running of the coaching weekend to make sure everything was complying with the Covid guidelines.
We are booked for next year on the 17-19 September 2021 – so put the date in your diary. Bookings will open in January 2021.
