The BHS Bedfordshire “Bluebell” Ride was mis-named this year, having been postponed from May until the end of September – so more a Hawthorn Ride!
The team stepped up to the challenge of organising COVID secure event with lots of changes to their normal procedures but were delighted that 62 riders were able to enjoy a lovely ride in Greensand Country.
The feedback, in emails and on Facebook, show that everyone had a fabulous time – even if a few are aching a bit after riding 12 miles after a season with so very few events!
Jacky Siddle (pictured left with Clare and Sophie Titmuss and Sarah Gammon) said: “We had a brilliant time, it was really well marked, and thanks to all the lovely stewards! I had trouble choosing from the photos. They mean a lot as they are the only ones I will have from 2020, as this is the only ride we have managed to do!”
About £1,000 was raised to fund our Access work.
