Cut Gate works underway and are looking promising

22 Feb 2021

Update on the repairs to the Cut Gate repairs, where stone flags are being airlifted in to repair sections like the notorious Bog of Doom. This method of crossing difficult terrain has been used for centuries all over the north of England and it’s good to know that future generations will be able to continue to enjoy this ancient packhorse route.

The Cut Gate forms part of Peak Horsepower’s Kinder Loop and this Moors for the Future project was supported by a generous donation from the British Horse Society.
