Volunteers’ Week 2020 runs from 1st – 7th of June and is an annual celebration of the contribution that millions of people make every year by Volunteering in the UK.
Volunteers Week is our opportunity to say a heartfelt “Thank You for everything you do” from all of your friends and supporters here at the BHS!
At the BHS we have over 1,000 volunteers and we simply couldn’t do all that we want to achieve without your help.
Volunteering can help you gain valuable new skills and experiences, and boost your confidence. It provides a sense of common purpose, pride and togetherness, united to achieve one aim. It adds to your skill set and experiences and improves mental and physical health too.
More importantly, it gives you the chance to meet other like-minded individuals, joining a local network to take part in purposeful, meaningful activities which benefit equestrians and horses in your community and throughout the UK.
We have opportunities to get involved in all areas of the Society, and whether you only have a spare hour or two or can provide a longer term commitment, the time you give to the BHS really does make a difference to lives of horses and the people who care for them.
