This advice and information is to help support horse owners and those who care for horses during the Covid-19 outbreak.
The Republic of Ireland has moved to Phase 2 from 8 June 2020.
For equestrians this will mean:
- You can travel a maximum of 20 km to exercise and care for your horse.
-
There will be a phased return to work of coaches and riding schools.
-
People may practise sport or fitness activities in groups of up to 15 but they must practise social distancing, minimise contact, not share equipment and practise strict hygiene.
-
This is limited to up to 6 people in an indoor environment
-
All guidance protocols, including social distancing and protective measures must still be observed.
-
Those with horses at Livery Yards should be guided by the arrangements in place where they keep their horse(s).
Further information on the Phase 2 can be read here.
