BHS Audit Committee | The British Horse Society

We’re pleased to advise that there are new opportunities to help shape the governance of The British Horse Society by joining the BHS Audit Committee. The Audit Committee is looking to appoint up to three new members in 2020. In particular the Committee hope to appoint individuals with specialism(s) in the following areas:

  • Risk Management
  • Health and Safety
  • Digital Technology

The purpose of the Committee is to take delegated responsibility on behalf of the Board of Trustees for ensuring that there is a framework for good corporate governance, internal controls and accountability (including risk analysis and risk management) and for ensuring that the BHS is complying with all applicable aspects of the law, relevant regulations and good practice.

As a result of your guidance and support the Trustee Board and Executive team of the BHS will have sound corporate governance and financial and risk management now and in the future.

For the 2020 round of appointments applications should be received by Friday, 11 September.

Ideally candidates will be able to attend the next meeting on Wednesday, 11 November 2020.
