Closing date: 31 Jan 2022

At Bransby Horses, we believe that every horse deserves a life free from cruelty and pain, and we are looking for like-minded and dedicated individuals who share this vision. Could you be our next Equine Welfare Assistant?

Due to ongoing employee development, we currently have numerous opportunities available on a full-time, permanent and temporary basis for horse loving professionals.

Who are Bransby Horses?

As one of the UK’s largest equine charities, we are recognised nationally for our welfare, rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming work with horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.

Our Bransby site just north of Lincoln is open to the public all year round with walkways for visitors to explore, a Café, Gift Shop, play park and picnic area.

So what does it take to become an Equine Welfare Assistant at Bransby Horses?

As an Equine Welfare Assistant you will work on one of our seven specialist yards providing all aspects of daily care with plenty of chances to be hands-on with our horses. We have over 300 horses across our two sites in Lincolnshire so you won’t be short of four-legged friends.

We’re looking for compassionate individuals who will show our equines TLC. You won’t be afraid to get stuck in or muck out; have good physical fitness and will be happy working outdoors whatever the weather. You must also have your Level 2 in Equine Studies and at least one years’ practical experience as a minimum.

And what’s in it for you?

This is your chance to make a real difference in a truly rewarding role. It gives you the chance to work with friendly, like-minded individuals who always put horses first and are dedicated to providing the best possible care.

In addition, we offer competitive rates of pay, an incredible benefits package and regular opportunities for you to develop and progress internally.

Our comprehensive training programme is designed to upskill and empower you while our dedicated buddy system ensures you quickly feel part of the herd. Plus, you will get every other weekend off.

So what’s next?

Visit our website at and take a look at the job description for more information about the role. You can then apply using our dedicated online application form. Please indicate any dates you are unavailable to attend interview.
