Commercial and Events Administrator (Equine) | North Kent College

Hours: 18.5 hours per week (flexible working patterns considered), 52 weeks per annum (FTE 0.5).

Salary: £9,500 per annum pro rata (£19,000 per annum full time equivalent).

Location: The role is based at the College’s Hadlow and Greenwich campuses.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Equine department for a part-time Administrator to join the team.

The postholder will work in a dynamic team and will gain a great understanding of the commercial elements and organisation of Equestrian events, Riding School and Greenwich therapy centre. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and you must be a team player. The ideal candidate will have some experience of working in the Equine sector and experience of running Equine-based events is desirable.

In this key role, you’ll be confident in supporting the team with a variety of day-to-day and project-based administration. You’ll need to have excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, whilst also ensuring that you effectively manage conflicting priorities. You will require excellent literacy and numeracy skills in order to effectively communicate with clients and monitor and record income as well as other associated tasks when running equine evens such as scoring, percentages and income statements.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, experienced in the accurate completion of administrative tasks, and have a proactive and methodical approach to your work.
