Are you a hardworking individual who enjoys working with a team, using practical skills, in the comfort of the great outdoors? Then we have a great opportunity for you to join our friendly Estates Team.
Bransby Horses is one of the biggest equine charities in the UK. With the generosity of supporters, the charity is dedicated to improving the lives of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. Home to more than 300 equines, there are plenty of four-legged friends to meet. The beautiful 600 acre site, just outside of Lincoln, has endless walkways for visitors to explore, a café, gift shop, and exhibition, play park and picnic area.
The Estates team maintains and develops over 600 acres of land; delivering grassland care, grounds maintenance, fence and hedgerow care and general land management. The role of the deputy is hands on and assists with the supervision of Farm Assistants, ensuring that daily tasks are completed safely, on schedule and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will have previously worked in a supervisory capacity, have a good working knowledge of grassland husbandry and experience of working in a similar agricultural role. As you will be using farm machinery to complete tasks, the ideal candidate will have agricultural driving qualifications, as wells as land based qualifications.
The starting salary is £21,644.50 per annum and comes with an attractive benefits package.
The hours of work are 37.5 per week, including one in three weekends.
