Riding School Manager | Strathorn Riding Club Ltd

Strathorn Riding Club Ltd are looking to recruit a reliable, enthusiastic and dedicated person to work as MANAGER in our Riding School.

Permanent position. 40 hrs per week in a friendly, busy BHS and TRSS approved riding school and livery yard including 60 horses. Bring Own Horse. Accommodation in mobile home available on-site.

Each week we provide lessons to over 180 clients of all ages and abilities. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, enjoy teaching, be qualified to BHSAI / BHS Level 3, with experience of running a busy yard.

We also breed, ride and drive Clydesdale horses, we host an RDA Carriage Driving group, and take in horses to school for riding and driving.

As Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of our yard, leading our equestrian team and developing their skills. You will have the full support of the owners to run the yard in the most effective way.

It is essential our manager is a good communicator who enjoys motivating and working with young people to broaden their knowledge and help develop their equestrian and social skills.

You must enjoy working in a riding school environment and have the following skills:

⦁ Leadership and planning, ability to prioritise and delegate effectively
⦁ Excellent communication skills
⦁ Ability to lead by example and co-ordinate a team effectively
⦁ Excellent horsemanship with kind nature ⦁ Ability to mentor and teach junior staff
⦁ Good customer care

You will be expected to share some evening weekend work on a rota with other staff members.
