Salary: £17,391 to £19,808 per annum plus Outer London Weighting (£1,393 pa)
Hours: Full time, 370 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
We are seeking a self - motivated person to provide additional technical assistance to our lecturing staff. You will also take responsibility in supervising work experience placements, volunteers and students. As an instructor you will be demonstrating and providing practical instruction in Equine Studies to students following a variety of modes of study. The role requires you to contribute towards the range of commercial activities run onsite including a Therapy Centre and Riding School. There is a requirement to stay onsite overnight on a rotational basis, each overnight stay is an additional supplement to your pay.
You will need a minimum of a Level 3 Equine qualification. You will also need to have, or be willing to work towards, literacy and numeracy skills at Level 2 or equivalent. You will also need to have, or be willing to work towards British Horse Society teaching qualifications. The ability to communicate effectively is an essential pre-requisite for this role along with at least one year’s relevant practical experience within the Equine industry.
As well as a contributory pension scheme, salary sacrifice scheme and free car parking, the post also attracts 30 days’ holiday per year. The successful candidate will also receive regular training and have the opportunity to take further qualifications such as the British Horse Society exams.
Candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
