About me

Emily Lochore British Eventing Level 3 Coach.

I am an established and well respected name in Eventing. I am currently still riding at International Advanced level having competed at many 5* Events including Badminton and Burghley. My achievements also include being a member of the team for Great Britain at Junior and Young Rider level, winning a Team Gold Medal. This led to being put on the long list for the Atlanta Olympics after winning the best U25 prize and a 12th place at Burghley in 1995.

Drawing on my many years of experience I now spends most of my time specialising in coaching at all levels. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have received coaching from some of the very best Trainers in the World. This I believe puts me in a great position to share all of the knowledge and experiences I have gained. Coaching has been a lifelong passion of mine. And I am thrilled to be involved in the Development, Training and Education of the BE Youth Riders and Adults in our Eastern region through my new role as British Eventing Eastern Region Lead Coach.

I also enjoy helping people make a plan for the season ahead, through goal setting and supporting their progress throughout the season, whether that be in person or remotely. I am equally happy coaching Dressage, SJ or XC. They are all importantly interlinked in the Eventing world. Regardless of the level of my client, I am equally committed to helping them develop, reach their potential or just simply nurture their passion for riding.

I coach All over East Anglia, My main base is in West Rudham between Kings Lynn and Fakenham where we have a fantastic 70m x 40m All weather watered Arena. I’m available all year round for individual lessons and equally happy to do clinics and camps for clubs and associations. For 2026 I charge £50 for an individual Dr or SJ Lesson, £60 for a XC lesson. Group lessons are £40 per horse for Dr or SJ, £45 for XC. Hire is not included in the fee unless at my own venue.
