About Us

At Clwydian Stud the facilities include a 30m x 60m arena used for training and clinics. We deliver private coaching, full day clinics and residential camps in a range of disciplines such as dressage, showjumping, simulated XC, grid work, pole work and competition preparation. Coaching sessions are open to horses and riders of all levels. Amy & Alice produce a range of horses from performance ponies to Racehorses, they both work closely with thoroughbreds in and out of training and enjoy supporting people in the retraining journey, they are also highly experienced with the production of young horses and offer support to those requiring help in educating their young horses. 
The lunge pen is a great space to develop your skills for lungeing and long reining, other facilities include hot wash boxes, a walker and solarium. 
The arena has a large viewing area and comfortable client room where visitors can relax, stay warm in the winter and make a hot drink. This space is also central to our residential camps, which are great for socialising with other like-minded equestrians.
There is also the opportunity to train towards BHS Stable Management qualifications, Pony Club tests or for those who just wish to expand their knowledge of equine care and welfare. Amy is a BHS assessor and Alice holds her pony club A test and enjoys supporting young people who wish to pursue this qualification. 
Clwydian Stud are proud to be delivering the BHS Changing Lives Through Horses (CLTH) programme, offering young people the chance to develop life skills and confidence through equestrian learning, supported by our experienced coaching team and qualified wellbeing practitioners.
At Clwydian Stud, we are committed to equine welfare and work closely with other leading professionals including vets, farriers, and equine body workers. We regularly host client evenings and lecture demos, many supported by the BHS, providing valuable CPD opportunities alongside BD, RoR, BE and BS.
