About me
Hi, I’m Sue, an established equine professional with a lifelong commitment to the industry, having worked full-time with horses since my teens across competitive, commercial and grassroots environments.
My background spans racing, show jumping, showing and stud yards, alongside backing and producing young horses and working as an exercise rider on a point-to-point yard. I have competed in show jumping up to Discovery level, shown to county level, and gained experience in eventing and dressage up to Novice. I am also actively involved with the Pony Club and the hunting field, further broadening my practical experience across disciplines and rider levels.
Working with horses of all types, abilities and life stages has shaped my adaptable, knowledgeable and sympathetic training approach.
Alongside my practical career, I lectured in Equine and Animal Studies up to HND level for five years and have worked as an assessor with Haddon Training, preparing candidates through to their Stage 3 examinations. This combination of industry and academic experience underpins the professional standards I uphold.
I am committed to achieving the best possible outcome for every horse and rider partnership, combining technical expertise with empathy, particularly when supporting riders managing confidence and nerves.
