About Me

I am a generic coach who specialises in adult participation riders, particularly ladies of a certain age going through life changes, but all riders are welcome. I believe that to get the best out of any rider and horse, you need to form a working relationship together. For this reason, I prefer to offer block bookings to encourage a series of sessions to build continuity in training. I believe team work makes dream work and success is a journey and I love to be part of your journey.

If you train with me I take an interest in your goals and keep you motivated. Unmounted sessions are available to complement the ridden sessions by reflecting on performance, mapping progress, and setting achievable goals. I have a particular interest in creating positive cultures within equestrian communities, and as well as offering private sessions, I run group sessions for social and competitive riders. I am an All Steps Formation Coach. I regularly offer: Flatwork / Poles / Grids/ Jumping / Formation / Work Shops / Collaboration Days.

I am a passionate and like to help others succeed and will mentor other coaches. I have been part of the delivery team for Coach Development courses with the British Equestrian Federation. I am also an associate coach for a private training provider and look after level 2 and level 3 equine apprentices in Cornwall and am involved with Changing Lives Programmes at a BHS centre.

I am available for Pony Club, Riding Club, rallies and camps. I can help with BHS training and mentor anyone wanting to progress in the industry, I am a BHS Ride Safe Advisor and Ride Safe Trainer and hold local training sessions along with offering BHS Challenge Awards. I coach at local arenas or can travel to you. I have 30+ years of experience as a coach, rider, and groom in the UK, Europe, and NZ. I pride myself as a kind, ethical and inclusive coach, putting the horse and rider first and sport second.
