About me

James is a Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship with a passion to support his clients to achieve their goals and ambitions however he can. Sessions are tailor-made to suit you and your equine’s every need using a mixture of traditional and up-to-date training methods from his experience of riding in the 3 main disciplines combined with a simplistic and modern approach to coaching drawn from his years in academia, whilst always upholding the highest standards of practice from his time in the industry.

His previous experience includes coaching for one of the largest riding schools in the South of England, working in sales yards with leisure cobs to competitive showjumpers and eventers, coaching for the pony club, becoming an equine lecturer, and training with world class athletes and trainers such as Christopher Burton, Sarah Bullimore, Spencer Sturmey, Damian Hallam and Jo Winfield.

James is always keen on furthering his own knowledge and CPD, with the interest of bringing the most recent developments within the industry to his clients. After completing his Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horse Management, James gained his BSc(hons) in Equestrian Sports Coaching and then his MSc in Sports Coaching, as well as being an alumni of the Step Up Your Coaching programme.
