Booking and Information
Join us for a unique opportunity to train with excellent coaches, qualified to the highest levels, using the brilliant facilities at Hickstead. We are delighted to have two outstanding coaches confirmed, Liz Eaton FBHS and Sam Champney-Warrener BHSI.
The aim of the camp will be for you and your horse to develop your skills whilst having fun. You will be riding in a small groups of up to five. Lessons will include flatwork, show jumping and arena eventing. Please ensure you provide us with accurate information when booking as you will be grouped according to the experience and confidence levels of you and your horse. Please get in touch before booking if you would like to join a non-jumping group.
The camp will include:
- A ridden training session on Friday afternoon after you have checked in
- Two ridden training sessions on Saturday
- Option to hack
- A ridden training session on Sunday and optional clear round competition
- Weighbridge and fat scoring information
- A Pilates session for you
- An expert veterinary talk on a current, relevant topic
- Additional talks such as horse or rider nutrition
- A lecture demonstration
- A fun evening quiz with prosecco
- Photo opportunity with your horse under the arch outside the main arena
- Accommodation for your horse in the new permanent stabling blocks
- An existing shavings with bed with one additional bag of shavings (extra bales can be purchased on arrival)
- Full catering for you, with breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the club house. The food has been consistently excellent in previous years.
- Lorry / trailer parking and camping
- Lorry hook up (additional £50)
- Access to toilets and recently refurbished shower block
- Limited availability for very basic chalet accommodation consisting of three bunk bedrooms (four people per room) and four double bedrooms. Bunk rooms cost an additional £30 and double rooms cost an additional £60. Rooms will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis from point of booking. Please select the accommodation you would like and we will contact you to confirm whether there is availability
Requirements:
- Attendees must be 18 years or older
- Attendees must have public liability insurance
- All horses must be a minimum of five years old
- All horses must have a passport detailing their up to date vaccination record (must be presented on arrival)
- All horse and rider combinations must be familiar with working in a group with other horses in an open space
- All riders must be confident to maintain control of their horse in walk, trot and canter without assistance

A non-refundable deposit of £100 will secure your place.
Payment Terms & Conditions
The balance must be paid at least eight weeks before camp is due to take place.
- Refund of Deposit before the balance is paid (eight weeks before camp).
A refund of the £100 deposit is only given on production of a vet’s/Dr’s
certificate stating the horse/you will not be fit for work in the month of camp.
No refunds of deposit are given for change of mind or circumstances.
- Refund of Total
Eight weeks before camp the following will apply:
A full refund will be given on production of a vet’s or Dr’s certificate stating the
horse/you is not fit or likely to be fit for work in the camp month.
Less than six weeks before camp.
No refunds can automatically be given no matter what the circumstances,
Vet’s/Dr certificate or otherwise. At this late stage we may not be able to fill your
place and the centre and coaches will still need paying.
However, we will try to fill your space, the later the cancelation the harder
this is.
As with all holidays it’s advisable to get insurance, then should you need to cancel, this would cover your holiday cost.
