Safer Riders, Safer Horses, Safer Drivers

12 Mar 2020

Due to the current crisis with Coronavirus (Covid-19) we have cancelled/postponed all of our calendar of events and gatherings until the end of June 2020.

Our regional teams and committees are in the process of advising everyone who has booked or indicated an interest of the cancellation.

  • Do you ride on the road? If so, do you know your rights, responsibilities and the Law?
  • Want to find out how to report incidents?
  • Do you know what is admissible evidence, and how to ensure it can be used?
  • How do you ensure you are covered in the event of an accident? Drivers - do you know how to drive safely around vulnerable road users?
  • Cyclists - are you aware of the need to call out so horses hear you coming?

BHS Wiltshire invite all road users to a free event on Thursday 12 of March .

The session will be lead by British Horse Society Director of Safety Alan Hiscox, former Chief Equitation Officer at London Metropolitan Police. We’ll finish up with a Q&A session.

Members of your BHS Wiltshire volunteer committee will also be there to meet you. Entry is FREE, no need to book in advance.

The talk will begin at 7pm, and we’ll be finishing about 8.30pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.

Doors open at 6pm for shopping. Event starts at 7pm.
