Isle of Wight Equine Healthcare Talks: Conditions of the Equine Hoof

4 Mar 2020

Due to the current crisis with Coronavirus (Covid-19) we have cancelled/postponed all of our calendar of events and gatherings until the end of June 2020.

Our regional teams and committees are in the process of advising everyone who has booked or indicated an interest of the cancellation.

Wednesday 4 March: Conditions of the Equine Hoof

Looking at the various problems that can occur in the hoof, from abscesses and cracks to keratomas, navicular syndrome, laminitis and ringbone. No foot, no horse!

A series of FREE talks OPEN TO EVERYONE with Tim Hawkesworth BSc(Hons), BVetMed, MSc, MRCVS of Caballus Equine Ltd, and friends!

Open to everyone with an interest in equine health and wellbeing, this series of talks has been put together to give equine enthusiasts a greater knowledge and the latest veterinary based information on a variety of topics that have large implications on the welfare of horses and ponies, from leisure horses and retired companion ponies to competition animals.

Tim, a horse owner himself, qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, and subsequently completed a masters degree in equine science through the University of Edinburgh. He is a member of both the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) and the Equine Veterinary Dental Association (EVDA).

Each evening starts at 7.30pm.

Tea and cakes will be available, free of charge although donations will be welcome.

Tickets for each talk are FREE, no need to book!

All attendees at BHS Isle of Wight events in 2020 will also be entered in to a FREE PRIZE DRAW (one entry per person per event attended)!
