Isle of Man Welfare Week: Horse Hoof Health

21 Apr 2022

Thursday 21 April | 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm

For this session on horse hoof health we’re bringing to the island Jeff Newnham DipWCF, a farrier with over 35 years’ equine experience.

Jeff has been the farrier to the USA three-day event team and was part of the London Olympics farrier team. Jeff trains vets and farriers and is a sought-after speaker; he travels all over the world to lecture on traditional and innovative shoeing methods and has recently run an online webinar for Lucinda Green.

Jeff will share his extensive knowledge of hoof health and offer practical advice on what constitutes a healthy hoof and how to deal with common issues such as abscesses and laminitis.

Doors open: 6.30 pm for a prompt start at 6.45 pm.

Tickets cost: £10, plus booking fees, and include light refreshments.
